December and January. Really cold and wet this year in Oregon. I'm recovering from shoulder surgery. Summer is still have a rough pregnancy. She has been in the hospital several times and Carrie is still taking chemo treatments. It seems like this year can only get better.
Its February and Summer is not doing well with her pregnancy. The doctors are concerned that she is developing pre-eclampsia and the babies may have to be delivered early. Carole is fly out to help Summer. She is on complete bed rest. Good news is finally coming. Its been a few weeks since Carries last chemo treatment and the doctor says shes in
remission. I think this year is going to be better than 2009.

Beginning of March, I'm getting ready to head to Summers for the birth of the triplets. Shanna is having some issues with her pregnancy. These kids are not making it easy for us old folks. Damn.. I didn't make it. the triplets were born
March 4, the boys are small, but doing well for being born 2 months early. March 5th. I arrived in Knoxville and heading for the hopspital.

Carole and Jason's mom, Cindy, are taking turns helping the kids on 6 week intervals. Cindy is taking the first duty, so Carole is flying home with me.
April 14th. I guess I'm paying my dues for all the years of smoking and eating whatever I wanted to, and a little family history thrown in and being about 50 lbs over weight, my heart decided to say knock that shit off. I had a heart attack and had to have a stint put in to open one of my arteries. Two more arteries partially plugged, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, border line diabetic. I GUESS I BETTER GET MY SHIT TOGETHER!

Two week after my heart attack Carole is leaving for her 6 weeks in Knoxville with the boys. Its been a rough time for the boys, Summer, Jason and Cindy. The boys were in the NICU for 6 weeks. Thank God for insurance. Back and forth to the hospital. They have had a few issues but nothing real serious and they are now home. NO SLEEP for anyone. 30 bottles a day and with all the diapers, I'd hate to be the one picking up their garbage.

Shanna is now having issues with her pregnancy and is on bed rest. Carole just got home and we are waiting for the word to hop on the plane again and head out to see Shanna. Oh by the way, Shanna is having her 2nd girl. Isabelle is going to have a sister. Daily updates from Shanna. We are on pins and needles. Parents always hate to see their children struggle and all of our kids have really had a rough time the last year.

July and the weather in Oregon has finally turned nice. what a rainy spring we've had. The boys are all doing much better, Carrie is still getting good reports and is still in remission. This year still is shaping up to be a great year!

July 11th Its never good when the phone rings at 2:00 in the morning, except this time. 2:02 AM. We have another grand daughter. Naveah Emma. Healthy and happy. We Shanna decided to have the baby, there was no slowing her down. She was in the hospital for about an hour before Naveah was born.
July 28th Here we go again. Flying off to Shanna's to spend sometime with Carrie and Jay, Shanna, Jamie and the girls and then on to Knoxville to see Summer, Jason and the boys.
