2009 - - What a year

Wow..  I was going to say I don't know where to start, but I do.  It all started last May.  May 2009  Heading out on vacation.  Carole and I are flying to Knoxville.  Going to See Summer and Jason.  This is going to be kind of a working vacation.  The 4 of us are going to the Lake House on Norris Lake.  Jay and Carrie will be down in a couple days..  Going to be a bonding thing with my son-in-laws.  Lots of remodeling to do.  Tear some walls  out, put some doors in and Use lots of "Power Tools".

Afternoons on the lake cruising and fishing and oh yea.. forgot, I fell off the dock with my clothes on and caught some leaf fish.  Fun was had by all.

As always happens, vacations end and evryone goes back home.  Mom and I, back to Oregon, Carrie and Jay, back to Wisconsin and Summer and Jason back home to Knoxville


Everyone thought they had a good time, but a week after we all got home Carrie went to the doctor and found out she had Acute Myeloid Luekemia.  What a shock.  Within 2 days she was in the hospital starting chemo-therapy.  Carole hopped back on a plane and headed for Milwaukee to be with Carrie.  I left a week later.  Everyones summer just turned to shit.  Carrie continued her chemo for the next nine months.  During all this, Summer and Jason made the announcement that she was pregnant, with TRIPLETS.  Holy cow what could happen next.  Well  what could happen did.  Shanna and Jamie announced they were pregnant with another girl. And Summer, she was giving us 3 boys.

Summer time  is over and Fall is here.  Summer's pregnancy has been a tough one lots of issues, back and forth to the doctor and hospital.  Carrie's still having chemo treatments and I'm going to have Rotator Cuff surgery.  I guess that about describes 2009.
